Holy Week begins from Palm Sunday. At that day, we decorate our churches with palms, which are given to the Christians. At Holy Friday the fasting, which has begun from Green Monday, is intensified. At Holy Tuesday we go to our local church and listen to Hymn of Kassiane. At Holy Wednesday Holy Unction is performed in the church and the priest spreads some olive oil to the face of each Christian with the move of a cross. At Holy Thursday we make buns and we paint twenty eggs red. The children sometimes decorate the eggs with stickers. Late in the evening the Epitaph is decorated with flowers by some girl and women. At Holy Friday’s noon happens the Christ’s Deposition from the Cross and in the evening the Epitaph is rambled. At Holy Saturday we go to the church to chant and listen to ‘Christos Anesti’. We light our candles, kiss and hug our relatives and friends and return to our houses to eat our traditional soup and clink our eggs. On Easter Sunday, we impale our lambs celebrating with our relatives and friends.
